Another welcome sight on the Stour valley nature reserve today, was a brown argus butterfly, resting with closed wings on a thistle. The underside is so beautifully and distinctly marked, making it easily identifiable. Very obligingly, this little chap opened his wings for a few moments for the benefit of the camera.
